| 1017O07 Now let's begin to stop the war reaching the goal that is stated on muZak's homepage, that's me, muzak's.com. Beginning this and all entries here is the date presented in the most sensible manner. It would appear to be quite normal except for the one small detail of the capital letter O representing the century, the millenium is disregarded to allow for all interpretations. That is a root approach to solving conflict, be tolerant to all peoples history. Allow for the century to be displayed as a letter therefore indicating a country of origin. In this case I've chosen O because it looks like the 0 that would be there in America. But it's not claiming autonomy over the Jewish calendar that represents us with the oldest measurement of time 5767-68 now, or the Hindu or Muslim or any other calendar. It just so happens that this part of the world wants to use the western millennium measurement, so by allowing for the decade to be represented this way we have our own unique dating system that doesn't really interfere with any other. It's much easier to interpret how a culture views all the decades in a century than it is to try to claim the correct markings of centuries within millenniums. This has been, for October 17th, the muzaklog (a blog of sorts). |
)0613O08 Well just my luck music has arrived and it's hot. It's hard to express how much love goes into writing a song when you're a teenager, in this case 16. When the world is so mysterious and you have every chance left, how quickly that time goes by. You dream to do it all again but end up only with the words of a song, "Lend a helping hand, where we can. Singing out Singing In praises; to Mother Earth's world, land. It's truly a treasure to let a song ripen with age for 14 years as this one has. If you are here, enjoy yourself, it's only getting better. |
1026O07 A short chapter from muZak’s 3rd book acted out on the real stage called life involving a character well known to the trilogy: fat freddy. There’s this elder gent checking out of the Anchor Bay store today in front of me looking like the next 10 miles N. are going to be worse than the last 100. He's nervously packing down an ice cream sandwich, there’s a small crowd out front, and a ton of those surf super gals that now work the A.B. Store hustling everywhere. So this guy gets to the ride and it’s what else: a camry. All of a sudden the car horn just explodes and everyone knew what happened. Of course the old guy can’t get the damn thing to go off! The whole town erupts and then this guy jams it into reverse with the ice cream sandwich bouncing up and down on the trunk that’s still open. So no one in the town is going to stop him from taking off. But on second thought I'm right there in the way so I hold up my hand; with jeers from the crowd all out on the porch like storks. Then I stroll up to the ride and the guy gives me this look like he doesn’t know whether I’m going to help him or beat him up. Finally he gots out while I speak calmly, “Dude, first of all close the trunk.” So he’s mock relieved, “Oh...was that it.” He closes it, the horn blaring still. I say, “give me that,” grabbing the controller key. So I gave him the ultimatum, “first off you’ve got to lock it.” Then it seems disaster strikes, he gets in the car and he’s pushing buttons so I just hold up the key and finally he manages to lock it from the inside. I relock it, and then unlock it and of course the thing finally shut off. But before you frown on my deed let me assure you, I knew this guy, in fact he’s a main character in this book. The moral to the story...Know you’re neighbors: skinny old white guy stuck in the camry doldrums, this guy’s mine (neighbour fat freddy). |
| 103107 It's all hallows eve again, and frankly the state of this country this week seems apallingly in lust with itself. Neither does it seem appropriate to go into greater detail than to justify these acts, all that should be said is that on Halloween the kids should not have to worry about losing an hour of sleep On another note there was an earthquake and below you'll find a link to the kind of damage that can be done in a more extreme collision of the forces governed by Mother Earth. |
| 1228O07 It's ironic how a state of war for nearly a decade can throw panic at the daily lives of citizens in one's country. I cannot deny feeling that very emotion for my own country and for the country of Pakistan on this day- tragic. Although Benazir Bhutto's life was marked with controversy her assignation will always be stained for the worse. Some of the youth have condemned her, even in her own family where her neice has been a strong opposition critic but one must ask how far can you take that opposition. In all the greatest irony to me is how a tragedy like this can capture the frustration of one citizen, myself, living with war for so long - it prompted this post on a BBC blog here is the majority of my view and the blog link is at the bottom. Personally I agree that a bungling US policy seeking oil for power and not the real liberation movement that was claimed contributed greatly to an environment of destabilization in the region. It began when the inadvertent bombing of citizens in Uzbekistan caused that country to deny access to their bases. America’s weak strategy of taking the approach from the South was clearly an attempt to capture the oil in the region. America must have had at least a notion; that very approach and the positions supposedly held are where the ruling armies based in the North of that region have stranded their enemies for at least a millennium: in the desert. All that one can make of such inept strategy is that Washington knew how much destruction would inevitably follow the “allies” that “supported” the US onslaught. No one can say how much degradation of rule has been caused by the greed blind forced march of a man who great generals have flat out challenged. Who can say either how much less bloodshed would’ve occurred if America had tried to gain a strategic position in the region and negotiate with the power seat that is now unraveling in Pakistan and gained the confidence of Uzbekistan and Turkey. |
| 0115O08 Here it is folks. For those of you who have read this far this is what you can expect to see here at muzak's. There is definitely literature in the way of fictional works coming. Hopefully there will be more works than this in the form of contributions from others. Goals are set to have a website that is free to promote independant artist works. In order to do this we will establish this site as a non-profit educational works display. Ironically what is on here now is not my forte. This is inspiration with a little bit of my real work in music and while this is my real art and lifes' work; it isn't my living. That would be in books where I find my living. There will be a lot more music eventually. For now I'll give an email where I can be reached if you feel you may be able to contribute works to this. To begin with the space will be free and ultimately any commission for services would be in the control of each artist. |
| All works on this site are copyright© of mu Zak. Update 0607O07 If anybody has made it this far it's nice to know. If you know me from elsewhere do let me know, elsewhere. I'm still deciding on the real material that will some day be here. Right now it just supports my local school district |
